I spent years looking for the answer in two places: software engineering and digital marketing. What I found was that neither discipline had it alone. But together, they explained almost everything.
Software engineering teaches you to think in systems. Every function has an input, a process, and an output. Every problem has an underlying structure. Nothing is random — it just hasn't been mapped yet.
Digital marketing teaches you to think in people. What makes someone stop scrolling. What makes someone trust a brand. What makes someone take the next step — and what makes them leave without acting.
When you combine those two ways of thinking, something clicks. You stop seeing a website as a design problem. You see it as a system with inputs (traffic), processes (the user journey), and outputs (booked calls). You stop seeing marketing as a creative problem. You see it as a pipeline with stages, conversion rates, and measurable levers.
